A Mugga Hot Apple Cider

Mmm.... with this winter onset, I find myself craving a mug full of Hot Apple Cider. With big fluffy snowflakes licking at my window and a warm flannel blankie wrapped around me, nothing beats a steaming cup of deliciousness.
Add a little spice to an old standard: A steaming mug of apple cider can be infused with some of your favorite flavors, such as cinnamon, star anise, cloves, lemon peel, ginger, and nutmeg. Simply break up whole spices (nutmeg should be ground) and place one spice or a combination in a tea ball; let steep in a mug—or a saucepan if you’re preparing cider for a crowd—at least 5 minutes, and serve. (Thanks, Martha).
