A Moment with Nature

A couple of darling ducks and a drake... our aquatic, waddling Mallard friends downtown Victoria.
How does it go again? Happy as a duck near water.
Or be like a duck.... Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath (;

It is not only fine feathers that make fine birds... how about a fine home?

Peacock Extravagance

I was enjoying a meandering stroll the other day through thee lovely Beacon Hill Park, when I came across a gorgeous peacock in full glory. He was a spectacular sight, and stunningly beautiful... needless to say, I was quite flattered! What magnificent birds-de-plume...

For the Love of Horses

"And God took a handful of southerly wind, blew His breath over it
and created the horse"
~ Bedouin Legend
For the love of horses.... Part Deux
Me as a wee one (with droopy drawers!) and my beloved horse companion, Candy (oh how I loved her!)

In Saskatchewan’s capital city, the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Equestrian Statue stands prominently in front of the Legislative Building. Unveiled by Queen Elizabeth II in 2005, the bronze statue depicts Queen Elizabeth II on Saskatchewan-born horse Burmese, the favourite horse she was presented with by the RCMP in 1969.

Horse Art

"In the steady gaze of the horse shines a silent eloquence that speaks of
love, loyalty, strength, and courage"
~ L. McGuire

A melodious neigh, the gentle swish of the tail, hooves that echoe music, the whistle of the high wind, and the freedom song that comes from a full gallop... where grace, nobility and gentleness are found in a splendid spirit. Horses and beauty are synonymous...

A Moment with Nature

Seals, oh dear seals... so beautiful.
I love animals dearly and it pains me to see that it is that time again. My heart is breaking... these marine mammals are so magnificent!
